You can have a selfie taken with the aquarium’s resident mermaid. If you’d prefer an activity that’s a little drier, you can partake in one of the aquariums animal encounters. The Austin and San Antonio aquariums are the only facilities in the United States where guests can interact and pet lemurs. They even have aviary, alpaca, and kangaroo exhibits.

Its history dates to 1923, when high school teacher Emily Schultz achieved her goal to start a museum. There are dioramas featuring the Texan wilderness or discover and learn about prehistoric Texas at the Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery. The museum regularly stages special exhibits. You’ll have a great time and learn even more about Texas.

 

Tobin Center for Performing Arts

Whatever cultural events you like to take in, you will find something to enjoy at the Tobin Center for Performing Arts.
